Apartment Therapy

Apartment Therapy is the authority in everything home with over 14 million unique visitors every month. From decorating tips to their highly popular tours of real homes, this blog has spun off to numerous books, and a food blog; thekitchn. As co-contributors to AT's house tours, my wife and I scout, shoot and write the coveted tours featured online. The primary focus is on great photography.

As still life / interiors photographers, we aim for great storytelling through an honest and accurate depiction of the home owner's lifestyle and the overall mood of the space. Providing compelling compositions of unique vignettes or wide shots, guide the viewer through a space. We capture homes through the use of daylight.

Post-production is done on selected photography to ensure consistent lighting and color throughout the tour photos. At times, obstructions or inconsistent item placements are digitally retouched. All photos are taken onsite with no additional equipment. Photos of spaces with contrasting light are stitched. The emphasis is placed on giving viewers the true representation of the home and its owners.

Along with Apartment Therapy, our house tour photographs have appeared in GISELe, a fashion magazine published in Japan, "for women who want to live free with confidence, covering fashion and trends". As well as an upcoming feature on a Hearst publication.
